Culture Unlock and Laneway Learning  invite you to let your hair down, for a 75-minute workshop on World Music and Freeform Dance!

NO DANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!

Rather than intellectualising and analysing, we can balance our emotions through body movement. Caz will share her love of freeform dance, and take you on a musical journey around the world. 

The best part is, there are no dance steps! 

If you’ve danced for years, or haven’t a single rhythmic-bone in your body, Caz will help you feel comfortable with our bodies, and in turn, our mind.

The class will start with a short discussion about how dance can be used as a tool for releasing emotion from within. Everyone will set a personal intention for the class. Using a selection of world music, Caz will then guide you to explore a range of body movements individually and in teams, encouraging creativity and "out of the box" thinking in a safe environment, all the while getting the blood pumping and stretching out the body. The class will conclude with a sound meditation.
